BOOKS

Guido has publishd several books. In his latest volume, Eros, Argentini broadens the scope of his idea of eroticism in photography, presenting a series of diptychs that combine oneiric images of women, with landscapes and still life: a woman's vibrant blue eyes rhyming with the blue of the sky; a woman's red dress echoing the red velvet seats in an old Italian theater. The result is a series of suggestive images imbued with emotion and narrative. Traveling from antique palaces in Italy to Tokyo's urban landscapes and the deserts of Arizona, viewers are invited to imagine their own narratives.

EROS

Eros, erotic, eroticism are just some of the countless words whose original meaning have been forgotten.
In common language they are used to describe something that may cause sexual desire. For the collective imagination an erotic image is distinguished from a pornographic one only for a conceptuality hidden behind it and for having been performed in a more elegant manner.
In reality the concept of Eros is totally different and much deeper.

PRIVATE ROOMS

Daring and provocative, these images of the female nude challenge the viewer to defy limits and enter “forbidden territory.” Argentini plays with our notions of privacy and constructs a hidden erotic universe where it is hard to know what we will find—our deepest erotic fantasies or a parallel reality? These charged erotic images are both sophisticated and raw, with a dark glamour all their own.

ARGENTUM

In 1995, photographic master Guido Argentini was moved to coat a model in silver makeup. The shiny silver paint transformed the models: dancers, gymnasts and aerialists into metallic statues, into new beings that became almost liquid like under the studio lights. Evoking the luminous polished planes of the work of Brancusi and the verve of Degas’ ballet sketches, these photographs endow the human body with both the solidity of sculpture and the vivid energy of dance. Using geometrical props Guido Argentini created a contrast between the human body and the archetypal forms of geometry: triangles, circles and squares. The final result of many years of work is this book:

Argentum.

A collection of more than 100 stunning photographs. Argentum is a book but is also a movie, a documentary that reveals. The concepts that are behind the making of this book: Argentini’s esthetic of the human form and the skills of the athletes that posed for these photographs.

SHADES OF A WOMAN

Shades of a Woman is Guido Argentini’s fourth’s book. The book is divided in 6 chapters, two in Black and white and four in color. The photographs were taken indoor and outdoor all over the world. In his new book Guido Argentini began exploring different levels and nuances of the female nature. The images are telling a story in one single picture, like single frames taken from a movie. Women, photographed in USA, Thailand, Italy and Cuba, in abandoned houses, in palaces and hotels, Replica Hublot Watches For Sale are still the source of inspiration of Guido Argentini’s photographs. Argentini’s aim is that women – the muses who have guided him along his path-up until now- being the subjects of his pictures or even simply those who witness his photos, can identify themselves in these stories.

REFLEECTIONS

When we look in a mirror, we consider who we are, and who we want to be. These female nudes from the master of erotic photography challenge our perception of what is real and what is not. Argentini skillfully plays with mirrors to achieve unusual perspectives. The resulting images combine come-hither sensuality with sophisticated distance.

With all this posturing and roleplay, who knows what will happen next? Decide for yourself who is the fairest of them all.
